We're a little different than most social networks. Like you, we're here for a reason! Our goal? To inspire and empower you to realize your purpose, so that you can do the same for others, and so that, together, we can contribute to a better world.

Ani Losang Demchog - Advisor
I have been an advisor and sponsor to NIFON for the last two and a half years.
I am a Buddhist nun living at Kopan Monastery in Kathmandu, teaching English to the monks. I am originally from Australia but now I reside in Nepal.

For me the orphanage represents the compassionate heart of Nepal. There are many orphaned and poor children in Nepal but NIFON is trying to make a difference. Unlike many NGOs, NIFON is home-grown and works solely for its children.

Although the orphanage is desperately poor, all the children are well looked after, go to school and above all, are loved. The orphanage itself is bright, clean and a happy place to be in.

I admire the pure motivation of the hard working committee and staff, particularly that of the director (and papa), Venerable Sangya Dorje Tamang.
